EEMC, Automotive Campus

In collaboration with LX Architecten, KesselsGranger designed the new European Electric Mobility Center (EEMC). The EEMC is a new testing and research centre in the field of electric and hybrid vehicles, including battery and driveline technology, exploited by TASS International. The new facilities are partly integrated with those of TNO and are also physically located at the TNO site on the Automotive Campus.

In terms of appearance, the building had to match both the Powertrain Test Center (PTC) and the new Automotive Facilities Brainport (AFB). For this, Brainport Development sought support from KesselsGranger to design the 'look and feel' of the new EEMC.

The grille-like elements on the facade give a direct reference to (the dynamics) of the automotive industry and automotive design.
