Idea and design:
KesselsGranger DesignWorks developed the graphic layout of the no. 18 VICI Racing Porsche 997 RSR GT3 race car for the 2008 American Le Mans Series. The layout had to build on the colours and graphics of the VICI Racing team (dark grey and red) as well as provide a strong background for the team's sponsors.
A dark grey band around the base of the car bordered by a thin red stripe provides a contrasting background for sponsor logos. This dark grey area also adds a practical advantage in that it visually hides track dirt and brake dust which typically cover the flanks during long distance racing.
