Idea and design:

The Guardian Tractor Concept is a modern answer as to how an agricultural tractor can be incorporated into an ever-demanding society and offer the comforts normally associated with other vehicles. It is a concept, providing multiple solutions which could be implemented on production tractors in the near future. It aims to provide the tractor operator with a higher level of quality and comfort, paralleled to the comparatively high purchase price of a tractor.

The concept provides a unique blend of luxury, clean and powerful lines, with an individual focus on ergonomics, safety and function. The centrally mounted full-width cabin provides an optimal low and wide entrance, facilitating entry and exit. Furthermore, lighting placed in the steps and cabin roof gives unparalleled vision for entry and exit in the dark. With its positively raked glass sections, most of which formed from flat panes, the Guardian cabin ensures optimal visibility against blinding sunlight and visual deformation.

Inside the cabin, the ergonomically researched driving position can be adjusted in height by 400mm to provide the operator with a range of overview positions. The cab-forward design with a low nose facilitates frontal fork and PTO work, and also improves visibility during road trips. Through using the elevated setting, the driver retains the traditional overview of the rear coupling and PTO drive. A semi-transparent B-post furthermore improves visibility, diminishing blind spots.

A rational use of high-grade materials and design finish on the exterior and interior, gives the Guardian tractor a visual edge over its contemporaries. The proud chromed waterfall grille, together with stacked high-powered optical units and high-grade edging strips, give the nose a modern and sturdy, yet established and dependable look. Large rear lighting clusters, together with a high-mounted third brake light, improve communication with other road users. The hose couplings at the rear are packaged within a plastic housing in order to aide cleaning maintenance and safety. Optional wheel trims, which ensure that the hubs are kept out of harms way, finish off the concept design.
