KesselsGranger DesignWorks have created a unique roof design for the TOP of MINI Dutch Design Collection. Only one example of the MINI "Brabants Bont" by KesselsGranger DesignWorks will be produced. The unique roof design will go on sale from 1 December at MINI dealers in The Netherlands.
TOP of MINI Dutch Design Collection
MINI has chosen the 10 best roof designs for the TOP of MINI design contest. Under the motto ‘MINI roof as a canvas’ young Dutch designers and artists were invited last month to send in a design for the roof of a MINI. More than 100 entries were judged by a jury headed by Dutch designer Richard Hutten, and 10 finalists were selected. The 10 chosen roof designs will be unique, with only one example of each design being produced. From Friday 28 November all the qualified entries and the winning designs for TOP of MINI can be seen on www.topofmini.nl.
The Netherlands is a design country, with an astonishing amount of talent. With the TOP of MINI design contest, MINI provides young design professionals with a podium to expose Dutch design talent on the road. With the TOP of MINI roof designs, MINI underlines its exclusivity and eye-catching colours for the interior, exterior, mirrors and roof which makes each MINI unique: only 1 in 100,000 MINIs are identical. From each of the Dutch roof designs, only one will be produced.
Brabants Bont by KesselsGranger DesignWorks
“The level of entries was in general surprisingly good,” says Hutten. The selection, based on the criteria of quality and originality, has resulted in a diverse mix of interesting designs. The "Brabants Bont" by KesselsGranger DesignWorks is Hutten’s personal favourite.

The winning and qualified entries can be seen on the official website www.topofmini.nl. The 10 unique roof designs will be offered at MINI dealers in The Netherlands. The exclusive one-time offer starts from 1 December 2008 with the purchase of a new MINI. The Dutch Design Collection special edition costs €495.
